Process Assessments, Modeling, and Consulting Facility Audits |

Many companies are best served by beginning their partnership with WoodPro with a comprehensive operational assessment. WoodPro team members will make a preliminary but thorough assessment of your operation, and provide you with a brief, prioritized report of opportunities for the improvement of your operation. These preliminary assessments are offered to Pennsylvania companies as an Extension service of Penn State. Once an operational assessment has been completed, some companies may opt to utilize the facility audit resources of WoodPro. For an appropriate fee, an audit program will be established, and audits performed by WoodPro team members at established intervals, usually one-year periods. The objective of these audits is to help your company measure your progress to your stated objectives, and to continuously improve your vision through incremental benchmarking of technology, people, and practices. For those companies that desire a more quantitative assessment of their improvement opportunities, projects may be undertaken with your WoodPro team to systematically model specific components of your operations, up to your entire manufacturing process. This will typically require more resources of the WoodPro team, and projects will be developed with typical project proposal diligence. Finally, for projects requiring a high degree of confidentiality, or for selected projects outside of Pennsylvania, WoodPro resources are occasionally available on a consulting basis. Contact Chuck Ray, WoodPro Extension Specialist, at (814) 865-0679 or cdr14@psu.edu for further information. |
